Lync Migration Week in Review: Logitech, AudioCodes & Genesys
By Alicia Young
Welcome back to the Week in Review, where we take a look at all the top stories making headlines in Lync Migration this week.
The week started off with a report from Paula Bernier that Logitech (News - Alert) sees a lot of benefit in huddle rooms. Bernier spoke with Ziva Nissan, head of product management at Logitech, at TMC Editors’ Day in Santa Clara, CA (News - Alert) about how Logitech wants to better-equip the world’s huddle rooms. Bernier writes, “Logitech’s solutions are uniquely suited for huddle room situations given their affordability and fact that they employ plug-and-play hardware that the company suggests makes videoconferencing as easy as using a mouse.” You can find out more about these possible improvements HERE.
On another note, AudioCodes and Genesys (News - Alert) have teamed up to offer all-IP contact centers. AudioCodes is going to provide the voice networking solutions it has developed to enable enterprises and service providers to transition to all-IP voice networks. Meanwhile, Genesys will bring its expertise in omni-channel customer experience and contact center solutions. Together, the two companies can offer an end-to-end solution. Find out more HERE.
The week rounded out with the news that Microsoft’s (News - Alert) Skype for Business has integrated with Apple’s Call Kit. This move makes Skype for Business even more interoperable with iOS. The update comes with the normal bug fixes, but also allows users to answer Skype (News - Alert) calls right from their lock screens. This may not sound like much, but to the mobile worker who relies on Skype for Business throughout the day for communication purposes, it’s a huge advancement. Find out more HERE.
While some exciting news has been highlighted here, that’s certainly not all that went on this week. Be sure to head to the Lync Migration homepage for all the updates, and come back next week for the latest insights. Have a great weekend!
