BroadSoft Japan Subsidiary Turns to AudioCodes for Communications Tools

Business communications have never really stopped being important and likely never will, which makes the tools to power such communications all the more important. BroadSoft (News - Alert) Japanese subsidiary BroadSoft Japan KK recently demonstrated as much by bringing in AudioCodes Business Connectivity Solution to help drive its own communications capabilities forward.

With AudioCodes (News - Alert) Business Connectivity Solution in place, BroadSoft took on access to the Mediant platform, which includes a complete line of tools including gateways, site survivability systems, session border controllers (SBCs) and business routers capable of delivering multiple services at once. With Mediant in play, BroadSoft's systems would immediately benefit from the ability to connect to any integrated services digital network (ISDN) interface around, as well as any Internet protocol-based private branch exchange (IP PBX (News - Alert)) and PacketSmart monitoring system.

That's a lot to like in one place, and it gets better; with AudioCodes, BroadSoft Japan KK can better offer up its own cloud-based PBX services, as well as unified communications (UC) services in Japan. This gives its own users better options in terms of cloud migration, while still letting businesses keep current phone numbers that may have been a part of the operation and marketing for decades prior.

BroadCloud Japan's general manager, Jim Weisser, commented, “We are excited to deploy AudioCodes to address local survivability for businesses in Japan. Our joint solution enables businesses that are migrating to cloud telephony to do so without having to change their existing phone numbers. The initial deployments in Japan will connect ISDN BRI and PRI lines that terminate at customer premises.”

If any service can help a company provide its own services in an improved fashion, it's worth considering further. After all, there are very few businesses out there that don't depend on having the best in communications around. AudioCodes can help deliver that level of capability with the PacketSmart monitoring probe and the various other tools on hand that make connectivity much easier, and thus much less expensive, to manage. Offering better service is a great way to cement a competitive edge that isn't readily duplicated, and in the end, means a company can get and stay ahead. After all, a competitive edge doesn't help matters much if it can be taken on by most any other company, which is why improving service works so much better than price cutting as an edge.

By bringing in AudioCodes, BroadSoft Japan can better support its overall operations and make for better services all around. That's worth doing, in the end, and should give the company a real leg up.
