Lync Migration Week in Review: Media Network Services, AGT, Avotus

By Alicia Young - Web Editor

Happy Saturday! This week in Lync Migration was an exciting one, with articles covering streaming and recording updates, new collaboration tools, UC, Skype (News - Alert) for Business and so much more. Now that it’s the weekend, let’s take a look back at these last few days.

This week, TMC’s Steve Anderson reported on Media Network Services’ (MNS) decision to upgrade its REC.VC tool with a new set of recording and streaming options, including some related directly to Skype for Business. Now, users can not only record and stream from Skype for Business, but also, users can enjoy complete call encryption for REC.VC on every platform it currently works with, along with the ability to call into REC.VC from every platform as well. That’s the tip of the iceberg though. Find out more about this update HERE.

Skype for Business got a lot of attention this week, with TMC’s Casey Houser writing that Avotus Corporation’s Enhanced Usage Reporting for Unified Communications (News - Alert) software now supports Skype for Business. The software allows companies to track and record their voice, video, and text-based conversations for compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as regulations set by the markets that individual brands comprise. You can find out how the EUR can assist various industries HERE.

Anyone who has ever moved business locations knows that it can be a hassle, and that a lot of changes come in the wake of the move.  Applied Global Technologies (News - Alert) (AGT) is experiencing this now. Not only is it moving its entire headquarters, but it’s also bringing in some new collaboration tools to serve as a demonstration center for its product line. This will allow visitors to get a first-hand look at what AGT can do for those visitors. Steve Anderson has everything you need to know HERE.

While some exciting news has been highlighted here, that’s certainly not all that went on this week. Be sure to head to the Lync Migration homepage for all the updates, and come back next week for the latest insights. Have a great weekend!
